Senior MBSE Systems Engineer – NAS Patuxent River, MD – 1 Open Position


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The Senior MBSE Systems Engineer oversees MBSE architecture and systems modeling related efforts and ensures that proper engineering procedures are followed. Works with MBSE Lead Architects, Technical Leadership, and Program Management on defining and developing modeling patterns for capturing stakeholder requirements, standards, and processes then applying those modeling patterns to systems architectures, operational models, and systems models in support of customer efforts.

DUTIES & RESPONIBILITIES:
• May lead and direct the work of other engineers and stakeholders while acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Calibration Metrology Tech – NASA Armstrong, Edwards, CA


REQUIREMENTS:
US Secret Clearance – required, active secret – preferred
 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• This position entails Radio Frequency (RF) calibration, various electronic calibration and recording of those results into databases Metrack and NAMIS.
• Provide initial acceptance testing, routine maintenance, calibration, cleaning and status tagging of various NASA furnished standards, precision test equipment. hand tools, instruments, scales, gauges and other equipment to determine performance characteristics.
• Creates records in document control systems that support calibration and measurement systems.
• Reports safety hazards, potentially hazardous situations and close calls to the supervisor. Assists supervisor to identify and eliminate un-safe conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Determines test procedure to be used. Familiar with GPIB addressing and use of automated calibration practices. Create data templates using MetCal Manual.
• Evaluates vendor calibration results in accordance with ANSI ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 compliance, as well as NASA and site policies and procedures.
• Familiar with and be able to use electronic standards: oscilloscope, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, counters and video generators.
• Familiar with and able to employ basic hand tools: torque wrenches.
• Must understand measurement assurance program concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 
• Valid Driver’s License – required
• Ability to travel – required. (Less than 25%)

Experience:

REQUIREMENTS:
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of aircraft structure repair and assembly.

• Fabricate, disassemble, assess, repair, overhaul, modify and re-assemble aircraft sheet metal and composite structures, tooling, fixtures or assemblies from blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and aircraft structure repair manuals. The structures components will include but not be limited to fuselage, wing and flight control components.
• Interface with engineers, scientists and mechanics to provide design inputs. 
• Use Hand, pneumatic and power tools. Shears, brakes, grinders, Etc. to construct and/or complete parts or assemblies of equipment to fabricate Research and Development (R&D) or experimental aircraft parts, tool, Etc.
• Perform routine/periodic maintenance of tools and equipment for the Sheet Metal Shop. 
Adhere to and comply with NASA’s and L-3 policies and regulations.
Other Sheet metal related duties as required.
